Last night I was messing around with a SM codex, trying to come up with a list with (ralatively) a similar style of play as my planned CSM army (see sig if you want), and I came up with *bump ba da!* a list. Here it is:
Wise/Courageous: See but Don't be Seen
Fierce/Zealous: Blessed be the Warriors
Major Disadvantage: Eye to Eye
Minor Disadvantage: Faithful unto Death
Command Squad: 395
-Chapter Master- Lightning Claws, Iron Halo, Terminator Honors
-Master of Sanctity- Bolt Pistol, Crozius Arcanum, Terminator Honors
-6 Space Marines- 2 Meltagun, 4 Bolt Pistol/Close COmbat Weapon
Assault Squad: 242
-Veteran Sergeant- Bolt Pistol/Powerfist, Terminator Honors
-7 Space Marine- 2 Flamer, 5 Bolt Pistol/Close COmbat Weapon
-Jump Packs, Furious Charge, Frag Grenades
Tactical Squad (x3): 153x3=477
-8 Space Marines- Heavy Bolter, Plasma Gun, 6 Bolter
Land Speeder Squadron- 80
-Land Speeder Tornado- Assault Cannon
Predator Annhilator (x2): 153x2= 306
-Predator Annhilator- 2x Lascannon, Lascannon Sponsons, Extra Armor, Smoke Launchers
Not a bad list at all. Just a couple of things.
I understand why you took Blessed be the Warriors, the Furious Charge is really nice, but I think you would get a lot more use out of Cleanse and Purify, an extra plasma gun in each squad will really wreak MEQ death. I think mobility will be key in such a list.
Also, 1/3 of the games you play (assuming you play random missions) will not allow you to infiltrate and you will have wasted those points, and without infiltrate you are awfully far away, and move very slow to get into decent firing positions. There is no way to change the list to help this, just something you should be aware of, infiltrating lists suck when you roll an Alpha mission.
Also, on the Command Squad, I think your better off with Plasma then Melta. Even with infiltrate it will be near impossible to get within melta range of any armor. Remember you have to start at least 12" away, 18" in most cases, you only move 6" a turn, and the range of the melta gun is only 12", half to get your bonus. It would take a very inexperienced general to let such a unit get close to his vehicles. However I have just realized you gave them a melta because it's an assault weapon, as the rest of the squad has bolt pistols. I'm not sure I like this strategy, but it's probably just me. If it works for you, go for it.
The rest of the list looks pretty solid. Good luck with it.
