Welcome to Librarium Online!
So my 1000pt army question is this... I can either have a 10 man PAGk squad and a 10 man FAGk squad both justicars get meltabombs OR I can instead drop 2 GK each and the bombs and get a Assault Canon + PF dread (with armor). Which would be better you think? Obviously 10 man > 8 man, but then again you get a whole Dread out of the deal... and dreads do just fine if not better than pagk with melta bombs (melta bombs i thought i needed because after a few games, 1 TLLC/ML was just not cutting it, that or charge with the assaulty dread and rip armor apart with the fist).
Suggestions besides the two are welcome as well.
edit again: list removed.
basically full squad of PAGK, FAGK, and a mini purger. TLLC/ML dread as well.
Alternatively I had StormTroopers in place of troops pagk, 1 less fagk and the assault dread. However i think now just more vanilla PAGK would be great. The problem always is anti-armor. I guess i COULD give them meltas, but still, vs something like LRs, i may barely make it up to em.
I'll keep seraphims/jumping canoness in mind but i'd rather not induct anything. ie strictly DH codex stuffs is favorable.

That is a "Cannoness with jump pack, clock of st. aspira, maybe mantle of opheila and/or rosaries, inferno pistol, and eviscerator. She may be a non-scoring unit, but will do some really good damage for a nearly untargetable IC, and she gives 2 extra faith points to help power seraphim, who will need the 3+ invulnerable saves once or twice to survive their runs against enemy tanks."
roughly i have her as 150 points with out the mantle of opheila. she is crazy with killing tanks. i also deepstrike 2 inquisitors with terminator armour and psycannons just because i think it is hilarious. i only learned about these tactics about a month ago. but like all 4 times i have played against my bros WH meq army and his chaos army, these units really help me. and they still surprise him every time i use them. (use the elite inquisitors)
just some crazy fun ideas. i like using these units because of the converstion possibilities.
1> if you have no other armor, that Dread will never make it. My experience is that the TLLC/ML dreads last way longer and do a better job of killing armor by far than the AC dreads.
2> I never use my my PAGKs for anything other than killing troops or light to medium armour vehicles. If you are relying on Meltabombs on a Justicar to kill tanks, you are in trouble.
3> if you have an =][=, an Eversor Assassin is a nice anti-armor add on, (as well as troop/Monstrous Creature killer ). I have been having great succuss with my Eversors at killing tanks lately.
4> IG Troop squads with Plasma Guns and Lascannons are a decent way of incorporating anti-armor with your Grey Knights, especially if you already field a lot of Grey Knights.
Hope this helps, Cheers, DH

i also wanted to note that i'll probably get flak for the mini purgers/psycannons. however i simply LOVE the psycannon squads + HQ psycannon. It's been immensely useful in every game i've played. I really do not think that 3 pagk are worth dropping these for.

In a puritan DH list, however -- where you have all the other codex options on the table -- the mini-purgation squad is much more of a points sink. There are superior options for getting fire support, and those should be considered before spending 200 pts on a couple of psycannons.

ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.
