The chaplain and EC join the two large footslooging squads. While the marshal joins the Jump pack squad. I put him in so my two small shooty crusader squads have leadership 10 plus it gives my assault troops an added CC punch.
What do you guys think? Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Im not a BT user, so I'm going by what I know.
Most of it sounds good, the only thing I noticed is you rely on Meltas alot. I think you should maybe get a few more long range heavy weapons, like your two lascannons. This is my personal preferance, based upon my experiance, but if you feel comfortable trying to get close with those meltas, then go ahead.
Otherwise, I like it.
It's almost exactly the list I run at 1500, and relatively successfully I might add.
I'm just going to suggest some personal stuff, now. Nothing that you absolutely have to do, but something to think about:
Your marshall might be a bit overdone... I might think about dropping the lightning claws and going for a more basic Marshall with HOA/BP/JP/TH/PW. He doesn't get all of the special stuff that the LCs give you, but he's really there for his leadership, and a bunch of attacks. It saves you a few points, and gives you the ability to glance a vehicle with the HOA, and slaughter troops with it as well, plus it saves points.
Maybe drop a neophyte from each squad (and with a few other changes), you can get a skimmer w/ AC & HB?
I find that 8 assault troops are enough to do their business, so maybe save a few points there.
The bikes are fun to play (although sometimes hard to use right), so maybe see if you can squeeze in another bike? That will give you a definite killer. The problem with the bikes is that they can only kill one tank at a time, and will definately take a lot of shooting, so keep them carefully hidden.
Nice list, overall, though.
