1000 pure gk, oh no, i've gone good.

i finaly did it, i bougt to many grey knight terminators for my own good. 2 boxes of tagk's. why oh why... but seriously i love the models i look forward to painting them and spending way to many hours not playing wow.

ok the 1000 point young blood list

    hq
    brother captain
3 terminators 1 with thunderhammer storm shield 1 psycannon
    224

    troops
    9 pagks + justicar
    275

    7 pagks + justicar
    225

    heavy
gk dread assault cannon extra armour smoke
    118

gk dread twin las missile pod extra armour smoke
    148

    990 points

this is what i think i will build towards for 1000. it has ok, ahem, antitank, low model count, some decent fire power, and some fun units. yup looks pretty standard for the weeks of forum crawling over grey knight lists. i think the terminators at this point level will be realy hit or miss, but they really always are. any tips or tricks? im really not sold on the 148 point anti tank variant dread. 10 points left, arrrrg.

    thanks folks!

It is a nice list. I would suggest that you change one of your dreads to a TLLC/ML. The reason for this is you lack any long range fire support. The hunter killer missile you can droop. It costs to much for a one use weapon.

    Actually a very solid list.

The TLLC versions are pretty good actually, especially for the range and better AT weapons. An Eversor is a nice add on for such a list too. He can be very usefull in the AT role.

I don't like to normally do this, but you could drop one of your PAGKs to make one the Dreads a TLLC/ML combo.

First, drop the Hunter Killer missile... it's not needed, in my opinion, and for a one-shot deal it's not worth the points.

After that, the only option (short of dropping the Terminators all together) is to drop a couple Grey Knights per squad to get the points that you need.

I'd recommend only running one of the Dreads with the TLLC/ML variant, while the other remains steady with the Assault Cannon.

You can also drop one of the PAGK from the 10 man squad to the 7 man squad to even them out.

It's a 10-man, 8-man setup, which I'd rather see than two 9-man setups. Even numbered squads are always the best for morale purposes.

However, if you don't have too much against smaller squads, you could also try to drop them to three squads of 6, one of which being Fast Attack. Just something to try out.
