    I was thinking of maybe getting rid of the Basilisk (as it is quite expensive to get from Forge World) and replacing it with another Ace and 2 more troops. This would take the points total up to 1747.

    If anyone could help me out with this decision it would be great. An ideas for improvement would be great too.

    I find at rounds to be a waste of time against many armies. vs Nercons, you dont get the extra d6 when facing monoliths, so it is useless. Against skimmers (ie: Tau, Eldar), most players using skimmers move 7-12" in a turn so you can only ever glance them, so the extra d6 penetration is useless. I guess at rounds could be of good use against landraiders, predators, other IG etc, but I know of no SM player anywhere in my area who would be stupid enough to sink 250pts into a landraider.

    I would keep the basilisk and drop the crew compartment. Keep it well back hidden behind a wall of russes and you wont have too many problems. Deep strikers will have a lot of other more important targets to deal with - like the wall of russes for instance.

    with the points saved from removing AT rounds you could put in another basilisk. I find them to be very potent. I would also change the ace tank to an exterminator, to take advantage of the BS4, and make sure your exterminators have pintle stubbers, to get 14 shots at BS4 per turn. I use 2 and they are my opponents' number one target because of the shots they unleash.
