I'm getting a Deathwing army together for a tournament in a couple weeks. Here's the list (it's pretty simple):
Master of the Deathwing w/ storm bolter, MC power weapon (130)
5 Deathwing Terminators w/ storm bolters, power fists, 1 assault cannon
7 of the above squad... (1715)
Total: 1845 pts
There you have it! 35 Termies and a Company Master. This army will obviously rely on the Deathwing Assault ability to land 4 squads in the enemy's face on the 1st turn (well, maybe not right in their face, depending on the enemy). I've always believed that the key to a strong Deathwing army is to maximize the number of Terminators, and that principal holds even more true now that the army can deep strike half of its Termie units on the first turn.
Any questions/comments/concerns would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
hi there, kinda interested to hear how the army went at the tourny, and with the new dark angels codex did you think about mix any lighting claws and thuder hammers in with the squads? so that way in hand to hand you wont always be striking last.
also did you think upgrading a termis to apothecary & one to a standard bearer?
i am also interested in how found the army worked with out much in the way of anti tank (long range) wepons and angist horde armies besides that it looks like a great list
also i prob wouldve tried to include a land raider cursader and preaditor anilnates tanks but then 35 termies drools thats got hurt
classically would add AT dreads to give you range
would also add 1xLC termie to each squad
Everything you have been told is a lie!
