I've decided not to get inquisitors. That said, here is the new list i've come up with... it needs to be whittled down a little...
Troops:218 (off the top of my head, so i might be wrong... at school here)
+Multi-Laser/HB Turret(Depending on who I'm playing)
so i'm over by 109. Couple of things i can do are reduce the number of ISTs, maybe by like 2~4. Also reduce PAGKs, though that makes me hurt inside... it also makes me feel worried that my dreads have no armor or smoke. If i wanted them equipped with at least armor, i could cut out 2 PAGK per squad and cut out 2 ISTs, cut out another IST for smokes if you think it's worht it... i'd rather like to keep my chimera, i'm lacking in shootiness as it is.
what do you think?

aye, that was just a mistake.Being that you have 1 troop already with the IST, make one of these FAST as even if you are deploying them from the board edge, at least you will have a better idea of where to place them (as they will have most of their army already down) Its amazing how you can play with your opponents heads through placement of PAGK'si was under the impression that HBs would be better v stuff with 4+ armor saves ie don't take it against SM equivalents. also, true that i wouldn't be able to shoot if i just charge out, but after i unload it's always sweet to have a shooty little armored vehicle. though i guess i only get an additional HB or multilaser. so i'll consider taking a rhino instead, you do make good points for it.IMHO Multilaser is always better, I'm in the mind of RHino's being better for the points, as they will be shot and killed easily anyways, it job is to drive around primarily two Plasma guns to kill tanks or heavy infantry, why slow it down by shooting?well i'll switch it up against different opponents... but around here i fight alot of chaos, sm and IG, all who love to bring along plenty of LRs and russes, along with plenty of anti-armor popping power, where i always lose my dreads fast and get stuck facing vehicles i just can't kill.Very nice, good to have them set on one task (long range tank killing) BUT.. I would say with a 1000pt games, maybe you could give one the assault cannon (which is just as deadly for killing tanks and infantry) as I dont know how much armour you would face in 1000pt games and for those armies that dont feature much armour, these models would be wasted, where as having one of each would give you a bigger array of optionssounds good except maybe the AC. so that said, the new list would be:Drop the chimera & m/laser for rhino, lose 1 PAGK is each squad, drop 2 IST and change a TLLC for a AC and purchase a psycannon.
and that's 1029, so i'd end up dropping the psycannon or one of the TLLC depending on the situation.
i still need an opinion on whether or not armor/smoke is important to have on my dreads... i've yet to come across a game where the armor truly saved my ass, but it has been useful, and i;ve never equipped them with smoke.
Thats a pretty sweet list...
I only ever give extra armour and smoke to the dreads if i have extra points.. being that they sit and shoot long range and are generally deployed safely. When I have played with them I have hardly ever needed to used them.
Nice list (referring to your original list). You'll get much the same performance -- and get you down to your desired points limit -- if you drop 2 GKs from each squad plus 2 ISTs. Then you get extra armour on your dreadnoughts. Perfection!

hmmm ok... i got a good idea of what i can whittle down. drop a couple of IST, GKs and downgrade to rhino... at that point i have 56 points left. either add a gk to each or something else...
further suggestions now that i'm down to 56 points?
Give the Dreads smokes and Xtra Armor, it will save your ass sometime during a game.
