Welcome to Librarium Online!
I am making a list for a friendly game night and have never played black templar before. I was hoping to bring some GreyKnights as well, but because only HQs can take teleport homers, and they don't have scouts I decided to go strait BT. My opponents will likely be Necron, Eldar, and Orks; Tau, Space Wolves, and Chaos are also possiblilties, but I think they are less likey.
Prefacing my list, I don't have a lot of tank hunting units because no one normally brings tanks. After every night of play there are complaints about how quickly they are destroyed and how ineffective they are so I think my two las/plas squads might cover all of my tank hunting needs. On a similar note, I am bringing four vehicles because hopefully everyone else thinks no one is going to bring tanks and I might be able to overwhelm their anti tank capability.
*Emporers Champion 140
No matter the odds
terminator honours, boltpistol
*2x DCCW/AC Dreadnought 105
*2x Crusader Squad 275
10 Intiates, 10 neophytes, power fist
*2x Crusader Squad 115
5 intiates, 1 Neophyte, lascannon, plamsagun
Heavy Support 220
*2x pred destructor with heavy bolters 110
I have 39 points left, and am not exactly sure what to do with them. I might bring the holy hand grenade and two heavy flamers on the dreads, I could bring extra armor on all of the vehicles, I have thought about giving the chaplin another wound; I have lots of options but would like to hear what everyone else thinks is best as well as anything that is horribly wrong with my list.
i dont have my codex handy but i believe you can only have half the number of neophytes as initiates. as in 2 initiates per neophyte.
No, you cannot have more neopyhtes than initiates. A crusader squad can be up to 20 Marines (10 initiates, 10 neopyhtes).
It's a nice army list, very good, and will last getting across the board.
