    1250 Space Marines -- Legal??

    HQ

    Master -- No upgrades 60

    Troop

    5 Scouts w/ Snipers 90

    5 Scouts w/Snipers 90

    Elite

Venerable Dreadnought (E.Armor, Vener, Las Cannon, Tank Hunter) 160

Venerable Dreadnought (E.Armor, Vener, Las Cannon, Tank Hunter) 160

Venerable Dreadnought (E.Armor, Vener, Las Cannon, Tank Hunter, Drop Pod) 190

    Heavy

Venerable Dreadnought (E.Armor, Vener, Drop Pod) 160

    Venerable Dreadnought (E.Armor, Vener,) 130

    Venerable Dreadnought (E.Armor, Vener,) 130

    Fast

Land Speeded ( Assault Cannon, H. Bolter)

I took the Heed The Wisdom of the Ancients trait so i can make dreads as elite or heavy and the 0-1 on venerable is removed...The only thing is that i might only be able to take dreads as one or the other and not both that is what im wondering. Thanks in advance for any input that you might give me.

    Armored Company anyone?

Sounds crazy but I don't really know how this list will fare. You will be outnumbered, and at 1250 you may be facing several anti-vehicle weapons. I know you've got the venerable upgrade, but that doesn't help all the time...

Now that I think of it, it just might be quite competitive.

to answer your question, yes it is legal. However i used to run a similar list, and i would suggest you don't field all 6 dreadnoughts in such a small game. save them for larger games and put more into your troops and stuff for now.

hehe, my Dark angels would have a field day on this list, to me it does not seem like its gonna be effective enough to do enough damage with venerables

I disagree. you know that there is only a 25% chance of destroying a venerable dreadnought with a penetrating hit.

Plus veteran skills can make them into either an amazing tank hunter or an amazing anti infantry/ CC unit.

People would curse out of frustration when lascannon after lascannon failed to kill my dreads.

Ok thanks for the advice. I wasnt really planning on making this list just wanted to see if it was possible to field the full 6 dreads ( Cause a friend of mine hates dreads ).

But there is a 75% chance of it being damaged in some way.

Ok, its 74%, but 75 sounded cooler...

You probably only need 2 of the dreadnoughts to have lascannons - which also be combined with MLs.
