    500 pt with traits - friendly

    This will be my core list that I hope to expand on. At bigger games I hope to add daemonhunters as allies.

    I will start one thing at the time...

    HQ:
    I would not give the Reclusiarch the Bionics upgrade since it is only a 500 pt game...

    Troops:
    I wouldn't change anything.

    Heavy Support:
    Now to the thing that hurt me the most. Heavy Support. You add Devastators to the army and you do very correctly. But what will their role be for Devastators if they have 4 bolters defending a sole Missile Launcher? I mean the Devastators role is to have the fire Support of the ongoing troops... with the configuration you have I doubt if they can succeed in this role! :cry:

    It looks pretty good for 500. The only thing i would do is not even take the devastators you can get the exact same effect as taking a tactical squad with a missile launcher and it is 10 points cheaper...Do that and drop the bionics on the chappy and you have enough points for another marine or you could throw that tactical squad a lascannon instead.

    I think your Reclusiarch would be better served with a Bolt Pistol, you still gain +1 A and you have a Bolter shot before a charge. If you follow Poofter's advice then that 10 points could get your Smoke Launchers and Extra Armor on your Rhino, increasing survivability. Also you could look at a Meltagun in place of the Plasmagun in your Tactical Squad, no chance of killing yourself and you can fire it before assaulting.
    Duty is as heavy as a mountain, but Death as light as a feather; only in Death does Duty end.
