Hi, I created this HQ for a bit of fun, but after seing how effective it was i am considering tourny play.
HQ epistolery with a command squad
arterficer armour Standard Bearer

tele homer 3 marines with pistol and chainsword
might of heroes and vortex of doom. 2 meltaguners

2 assualt cannons
master crafted power sword for sarge
Terminator Assualt squad 5 men (chaplain accompanies)
master crafted lighning claws for sarge. (rest of squad....2 thunderhammers and 3 lc's
tac squad 10 men
rocket launcher and melta
sarge term hons
serge power fist
tac squad 5men
rocket launcher and flamer
Fast attk: land speeder multimelta 75pts
heavy support: devastator squad...7 men
rocket launcher plasma cannon lascannon and heavy bolter
2 men with bolters
sarge with term hons and power sword.
Predator anhialator. lascanon sponsons extra armour smoke launchers pintlemounted storm bolter and a hunter killer missile. 158pts
Land raider crusader 9command squad. smoke and hunter killer.
TOTAL 2400 - 2500 pts
You will notice the points is a geustimate...if any pts are wrong plz dont comment as this is more a will the ARMY work question for friendly games.
The devastator squad and the predatorstay back with the 5 man tac squad as a fire base to take out tanks 9especially ordanace) and elite shooty troops.
the command squad rides full speed ahead to assualt the enemy, and the tac squad gives suppresive fire as it advances. 9i could give them a rhino but the just blow up and get entangled).
When close combat is within range the command squad jumps out of the LRC and prepares to assualt and the LRC itself softens up the enemy line (assualt cannon and bolter turrets) the tac squad is rapid firing by now.
The command squad uses tele homer and assualt squad and normal terminator squad appera and shoot then charge as soon as possible. the main army units then defeat the main enemy force that my firebase softened up and weakened.
oh, and earlier on my landspeeder does a suicide drop right next to an enemy tank of ordanance platforn and melta's it.

see I love people who do this, really, that is, by your own estimate, nearly 900 points of your army in one tank, first turn, blow the tank, it aint that hard, then drop ordinance on to the squad...

LRC 255 points (odly you aseem to have got an economy version)
firing 2 guns and wiping this lot out- priceless

Guardsmen would have a field day with this lot, lascannon the transport, demolisher shell the men inside since there gonna be huddles together, and theres 900+ victory points on at most turn 2, and 2500 of guard is allot of ordnance, even a super heavy
Yeah guys...this is a MUCK AROUND army so now u dont think its tourny style plz only comment if you have CONSTRUCTIVE criticism or tactics/army composition thoughts.....design a new HQ for me if you think that one is SO stupid.
As i said....it isn't a serious WINNER army...but hell is it fun when the plan actually does work......:sleep:
