Hi,

I wrote this list for a friendly against another guard army (and unsurprisingly won), then noticed that it seems to be quite nasty. It's in no way balanced, but allot of fun...

Platoon HQ: Junior Officer
Heavy Bolter

Squad 1: Heavy Bolter
Squad 2: Heavy Bolter

Heavy Weapon Platoon HQ: Junior Officer
Heavy Bolter

Squad 1: 3 X Heavy Bolter
Squad 2: 3 X Heavy Bolter

Total: 400pts

Damn thats a lot of heavy bolters. It is actually pretty good, even marnes would think twice about that many HB's. Any casualties are going to really reduce its effectiveness so yeah. I like it, its original.

But seriously, a Tau mecha force would tear this apart with a single Railhead or some infiltrating Kroot/Stealths or some DS'd Crisis Suits.

You said it wasn't balanced though, so as a defensive installment, it's GREAT.

I like my Combat Patrols to not be in/maxed mini-armys, but something that would actually be involved in a Combat Patrol.

In your case, you have these Gaurd on heavy gaurd detail and the enemy force has found you on their Patrol, thus you release the shells at a dizzying rate until support can arrive.:shifty:
