Warseer is one of the most reliable source of GW rumors on the net, along with Bell of Lost Souls, as long as you know how to pick out the obvious people who are either lying or very gullible. Obviously Space Marines are coming out before IG, as they're coming out in September/October. Then Warriors of Chaos for Fantasy, then probably Space Wolves, then Lizardmen or Beastmen, then Imperial Guard. Necrons will be late 2009 and reportedly Dark Eldar have been pushed back once again to 2010. Imperial Guard sell. Dark Eldar do not. It's not hard to imagine that GW would update one and not the other, even though one needs it much more.Dont believe everything you hear on Warseer, its probably one of the most unreliable sources imaginable.
"Oh, did I tell you my father's, brother's best friend works for GW and says ... will happen"
... yea right and my dad is the president, the codex will come out but not any time soon so have patience. There is still dark eldar, space wolves, necrons and space marines to be redone, thats taking into account that I am not forgetting anything.
No one on this website will be able to tell you anything accurate, its all about he said this, he heard that and ect.
For whoever mentioned Daemonhunters, I honestly doubt Inquisition will ever see an update. By looking at the fifth edition rule book, you can see they're being phased out.
I sure hope they're not...I was about to add some allies to my army.
I hope not too, Daemonhunters are one of my main armies. And you'll probably still be able to use them, I just don't see an update in the cards. Neither Inquisition codex is terribly "broken" anyway; Grey Knights are a bit overpriced, and No Retreat dealt a blow to fearless units, which make up most of Inquisition armies, but there are many armies that need an update more. Also, part of the fun of playing Inquisition is its relative exclusivity!
I hope you're wrong about this, the Inquisition is awesomely fluffy, and the allies rules make them available to everyone. Within the imperium that is.
I've heard that somewhere down the line, they might get merged into one codex, including witch hunters, daemon hunters, and xeno hunters. But I guess if they ever do get an update, it'll be about the same time the Necrons and Dark Eldar get theirs...
As for Imperial Guard rumors... well, more of a hope really: is there any chance that the Heavy Stubber could make a comeback? I think it's the sweetest weapon the IG can get, and yet it's only officially allowed on pintle mounts! ...and every Imperial Armor unit ever created... Come on GW, just paste the phrase "Heavy Stubber Team at +8 points" in every unit entry...![]()
Armies:
Tyranids: 2500 pts
Imperial Guard: 1000 pts
Witch Hunters: 1000 pts
I agree completely, bar a little niggling doubt over the Dark eldar - I have no personal care either way with them, but i keep on seeing new designs and a few mini's are popping up here and there. I think it's coming, and sooner than IG (Or very close indeed)
I'd put money on a merge too.
P.s. Tell me where to sign r.e. heavy stubbers and i'll push old ladies and pregnant women out of the way in the rush to get there.

Do you think Grenadiers will disappear all together with doctrines out of the picture?
I'm still holding out for that the new guard dex will follow the lines of the new marine dex. However your HQ is set up, it passes certain traits to the rest of the army. We'll just have to see if that's how its really does work though. It would make the most sense since a few of our doctrines are exactly like that, having to be applied to the whole army in general. In all fairness I can see a few of those doctrines simply being phased out completely. *Shrugs* Until something tells me otherwise though, I'll just keep hoping that all of our prices get cheaper.
I expect there will be a special character with a 'Grenadiers' rule. In fact, I expect about twenty special characters, one for each of the fluff-important regiments...Catachans, Death Korps, Armageddon, etc. Then again, I expect 1,011 special characters in the new Marine Codex: one for each of the thousand Chapters, ten for the Ultramarines, 'Warmaster' Marneus Calgar and the Emperor Himself, psychically projected from the Golden Throne. The rumors aren't comfirming that (the Codex will reportedly be released on paper instead of CD), so I might be wrong about Guard, too.Do you think Grenadiers will disappear all together with doctrines out of the picture?
"That's right, son! The Imperial Guard will give you--for free--the most cost-effective body armor in the galaxy, the most indestructible energy rifle ever built and the training to hold your position against a charging Carnifex...sign here, please."
