I actually like the hard boyz kill point system.
1 kill point per troops choice
2 per fast/elite/heavy choice
3 per HQ choice
and giving free points to the opponent if you don't include one of everything. This actually makes all armies about the same KP's and still doesn't over abuse the platoon system that much (which was a fear I had that guard would be unstoppable in kill points with this ruling) It essentially means the enemy goes after tanks and such as they're easier KP then the infantry.
Although this being said I can see how guard can still abuse it if they took heavy weapon platoons and Independent commissars (hiding 1 out of the 3 commissars in the back and still fielding a elite choice).
While this system isn't perfect I think its a step forward towards guard being equal in KP.
Maybe if they made officers in the platoon worth killpoints but not the squads or something.
