Over all getting carapace doesn't affect me as much in troop numbers, i still field a large amount but take less casualties rather than fielding more taking a hell of a lot more casualties. Over all I find carapace to be more worth it over camo.
Huh, if you're going to be trying to put them in cover anyways, I fail to see how carapace is better than camo when it comes to bolters. I'd rather have 3+ cover than 4+ cover or 4+ armor, for ten points less!

But personally I don't take either, just good old guardsmen for me!

why use green stuff to make a cloak, it's year 40,000 cant you just "say" they have some kinda cloaking devise on there armor. when i play combat patrol i use both carapace and camo

If you want to play cameoline I don't think the threat of greenstuffing 200 cloaks should prevent you. Just give them camo paint scheme or something, a new codex won't change the color of your minis.

That's my five cents... fricking weak dollar.
It's polite to do so. I use tallerns and paint their robes/cloaks up. Or a spiffy paint job, but that'll take some effort on that many mini's.
It's not required, but it'd be polite to make the attempt.

I play tanith so I actually modeled about 150 cloaks on my guys, it can get tedious but imo they looks so badass that its worth it.

As far as other methods of camo, the vitrian dragoons had their camo built into their armor, the belladons just used netting, the catachans (i know they don't have true cameoline, but imo it similiar as they're almost always in the jungle) just put leaves on them and paint themselves green.

I think its perfectly acceptable to use cadians and paint them in a camo color schemes and call it cameoline, although I'd stress that they'd have to be painted in the camo color scheme, olive drab and gray fatigues is not camo.
    Most Notable Achievements:
Killed a Revenant Titan in one shot.
Killed 900 pts worth of Blood Angels in 2 turns while only loosing 4 pts.

Rep'd for the 150 cloaks... though you should be rep'd purely on your name...
