you mean Steel legion style GL and Rockets. Catachans seem more like HF, Flamers and Sniper Rifles

and for using bastone i wouldn't, just get a second company command squad. it is less points and issue 2 orders instead of 1, and can get one more speacial weapon and you can still give them carrapace, camo cloaks and also have a second set of advisors if you wanted to( probably just body gaurds if this is going to be a forward assault unit) only down side i see is it won't be a point scoring unit for objective missions.
