light infantry and heavy weapon platoons: question

when I look at the heavy weapon platoon entry, it says it consists of a command squad and 1-3 support squads. under support squads it says they are chosen from the following units 'AT squad, fire support squad or mortar squad'

since it doesnt list the 'support squad' as guard infantry, even though you choose, for example, to make one support squad an AT squad, which IS listed as guard infantry, can you give light infantry to an AT squad which is apart of a heavy weapons platoon?

According to Armybuilder you can give HW Platoons and their elements the doctrine.
"Through most of the war we fought as nobles might. Never betraying, never decietful. But there came a point where tripping the soldier next to you might mean another day of life..."

I believe you can give them the doctrine, as you are selecting from units that can normally take the doctrine, just under a different organization called a heavy weapon platoon.

That would be my logic, I hope its the correct answer.

Look at page 55, the paragraph in italics.

It doesnt mention Infantry or Heavy weapon Platoons, instead it mentions alle the components of the two Platoon types.
So anti tank, fire support and mortar squads count as Guard Infantry regardless of wether or not they're attached to a HQ or a Heavy Weapons Platoon and thus you can give them the doctrine.
