The codex doesn't make sense some times, very minimal but ever-present grammar mistakes confuse the hell out of me. with it's awkward wording

Default Possible Mistake.

Here is a listing I made for my elite choice for my 1000 pts army. I'm not looking for opinions on if it works (Not that I'm not open to suggestions and opinions, but I know that is meant for the Army List Section, so please feel free though), but I'm curious to math error I fear I made:

2nd Regiment (Hardened Veterans, Elite): 235 pts
DH (+ X pts) + SS (+Xpts)
1 Veteran Sergeant (Xpts) (+Xpts C. Armor +4 Save) + Honorifica Imperiallsis (Xpts, Heroic Officer Stats) = (Xpts)
2 Veterans with Meltagun’s (X pts x 2 = X)
1 Veteran with Plasma Gun (Xpts)
1 Autocannon Team (Xpts) (2 gm)
4 Veterans (Xpts)
1 Chimera Transport (Xpts) – Multi-laser (Xpts), Heavy Flamer (X pts), Extra Armor (X pts), 1 Mounted Pintle Storm Bolter (Xpts) = Xpts

I added my points but upon review, for the Sepcial Weapons Teams and the Heavy Weapon Teams, since this is a Harden Veterans unit, you have to buy each Veteran, I think I forgot to account for their individual points and just added the weapon costs (like you do with a normal 'rifle' squad). Please let me know if I did this wrong, I want to have an accurate army to field, and I don't want to be a point Ninja. :ninja:

Thanks!

Sorry about the points, copy + past = horrible death... (Corrected)

Arrrgghhhpiffle! ><;; You're not supposed to put up individual points costs for wargear/squad members on the board. But to address your squad...

Veterans can't have sharpshooters. They're BS4. Sharpshooters only affects units with BS3.

Anyway, to determind the cost of a Vet squad you do something like this.

X points for the Vet Sarge + Y points for each additional Veteran. So if you have the sarge and 8 vets, that's X + 8Y. Then we add the cost of weapons (Z), so if you take two I point weapons and one J point weapons, our total now is X + 8Y + 2I + J. Then we can add the Chimera whiche we'll label C. So, our finaly formula would be X + 8Y + 2I + J + C.

In your squad, I beleive you meant to have the Vet Sarge, 2 Vets w/ Meltas, 1 Vet w/Plasma, 2 Vets with an Autocannon, and 4 additional vets, rounding out to a full 10 man squad plus the Chimera. If such is the case, your squad would cost: 257 points.

Thanks for the quick save  , copy and past is not your friend:realmad:

I edited it quick to to change it, and upon doing so, I noticed that I had SS on there... *sigh*

Just one of those days... It seems everytime I get a list done, I catch errors... Darn Guardsmen, always making things difficult. :shifty:

Alright, I'll move some things around, I just have to find a way to clear 20 some pts off of the list... That units gonna be my anti Carnifex/Hive Tryant quick hitting unit...

Until nex time!

Hmm those Carnifexes and Hive Tryants are bound to have bodyguards. Try blasting a path way to them with artillery first before sending in the Chimera.

Okay, I redid the Math and with the additions, It's 265, now I just have to trim some points off and I'll have my 1000 pts list done, finally... I'm not quiet sure why there's a differnce in our math, but I'll double check.

Off to work on my list again.
