Hello hello there, to any who might read this.
I'm Fern, as the screen name says :3
Though I'm no newcomer to warhammer, I figured this would be a good place to get/give tips and tricks, learn some neat new stuff, maybe brush up on tactics a bit, and of course, meet new people who have a love of both fantasy and 40k
I reside smack dab in the center of Canada and have a huge interest in pretty much anything art, music, warhammer (of course XD), rugby, video games, and pretty much anything fantasy or sci-fi related.
I currently play High Elves and Eldar. I also collect Sisters of Battle, which I hope to get involved in the battlefield one day, and Wood Elves which were donated to me by a friend who decided that Orcs and gobbos (and Necrons ) were his army of choice instead ;3
I'm also hoping to get my hands on some Tau just because the models look really nice (I love to paint models X3) and heck, might even collect them seriously for an army as well; I've seen them in action and love the style of tactics they have.
On painting, I'm really fussy (probably bad to be a perfectionist when painting in such a small area) so I get very little progress in a large amount of time, though I am happy with almost everything I do get finished (when it does get done). Of course, doesn't help being busy with work and university almost all the time.
Admittedly, I haven't played 40k long. My first introduction to it was "Here. We're playing 40k instead of fantasy. You're Dark Eldar" where upon an army list was shoved into my hands Much like my introduction to fantasy warhammer.
My favorite models have to be, in HEs, a 3 way tie between the bolt thrower, the dragon and the Phoenix Guard. In 40k it's Harlequins (They were an excuse to go crazy with colors X3) and Wraithlords/guards hands down.
Anywhoo. I'm rambling on too much. Thanks to anyone who actually bothered to read all my babbling and hope to get to know as many of you as I can!
Read the ramblings and good to see another well rounded individual (i.e. 40K and WHFB player).
Welcome to the forums and have fun. Look forward to seeing you in the Wood Elf subforum.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
Thanks kindly :3 Glad to know that my wordiness does not bother at least one person.
I hope to see you in the sub forums as well; finishing up a paint job on a hero that I wouldn't mind getting critiqued on ^_^
Edit: Testing something because I don't want to waste space
