    Helloooooooo!!!

    Greetings All!
    Let's all go back....
How far we gonna go back? (You ask)
    Waaaaaayyyyyyy back......
Back to a time when there was ONE WH40K book....
    with bad glue....
so all the pages started to fall out within days.
Well, that was the most current rulebook way back the last time I played WH40K!
I am frickin' ANCIENT! (maybe I should be playing a team of Squat Living Ancestors...)

Anyway, I live in Oregon, USA. That's on the West coast between California and Washington state for all my new steak-and-kidney-pie-eating friends. I also live pretty much in the middle of nowhere. However, just discovered that a local friend plays WH40K amongst other games with a group "nearby". In this case, that means an hour drive one way. Told you I lived in the middle of nowhere! Nonetheless, I'm figuring out a Guard force to put together to take on the road. Since neither funds nor time are limitless, I want to get opinions and test-drive my planned group online before I pay and paint. I'm thinking Guards perhaps with some guest Marines. Posted my first 1700 point all-Guard group here:

    Suggestions very welcome.
Would particularly love to hear from anyone here from Oregon or northern Cali.

    The Rev.

    Welcome to LO, Rev. Engineer.

By the way: currently you can only combine Marines and Imperial Guard when you use Daemonhunters or Witch Hunters rules.

    Welcome,
both to LO and back to the hobby.

One word of advice when it comes to Warhammring with limited funds. eBay.
Go there, have some patience and snipe those auctions in the very last seconds. You can make some great deals, especially if you are prepeared to strip the minis from bad paintjobs.
And if you do have any of your ancient minis left- you might just be sitting on a pile of gold as some of them pay very well if you sell them on the same site

Any questions on anything -we've got a board dedicated to it, so once again welcome.
