I'm reletivly new to W40k, having been collecting/modeling for about a year, yet I've only played three times to date. (all within the last two months!).
Naturally, my army is Space Marines (chosen because they appeared to be the easiest to get to grips with as a new player). I have a custom chapter which I am trying to make assault/infiltrate orientated, but I'm still getting my head around the rules. Still, current army is _roughly_ 1500points, with the intention of taking that over 3000 by the end of the year. (got around 60 marines comming in next week after a nice Ebay win which should help there )
I have been a frequent visitor to LO for a good 6 months now, having used many hints and tips in the modeling, terrain and painting sections excessivly, and I decided it was time to join up and join in
Anyway, enough of me, I'm going to traul the forums for a while.
Welcome to LO, and welcome to 40k!
You're right, marines are easy to get into, but with experience you'll learn that, like any army, they can be as easy or challenging to play as you want them to be. Don't be afraid to think outside the box, once you see what the box looks like, that is, if you know what I mean. Sorry, that metaphor almost got away from me.
Anyway, feel free to hang out in the marines forum, and since I post there a lot, feel free to drop me any questions you have.
Also, just because I need to say so, please be sure to familiarize yourself with the LO rules before you start posting with wild abandon.
Excelent. Thanks for the welcome.
As i said, I've been milling around here for months, so i made an effort to read all the rules before i signed up (after all, you all took the time to write them, its the least i could do )
I'll keep my eye out for posts that answer my questions before i start asking away.
