Welcome to Librarium Online!
I recently stumbled across this website while looking for examples of army builds to help me understand the game better. But I realize that this website has a lot of other great things on it too, and I find myself spending the late night hours on it all the time now reading up on stuff =].
Anyways, I'm into the Warhammer 40k scene. Sometime last July, about two weeks before the 5th Edition came out me and a friend picked up the Battle for Macragge set. We also picked up a few other models without really knowing the rules too well, we were just excited at the time. After playing the starter set and learning the rules, we discovered how much of a pain painting can be for inexperinced players, so that discouraged us for awhile. And then college came up, which kinda got rid of my free time. But now I have returned to the game, and have self taught myself all the new rules.
I play the Space Marines. I enjoy their fluff and their look. And I'll be pretty much around reading the forums and learning as much as possible as I go, and hopefully one day I'll be experinced enough to join in on debates here.
Welcome to LO. I'm sure you'll find lots of helpful advice that will help to smooth the learning curve.
Welcome aboard. Presently I am concentrating on fantasy but I have around 4000 points of space marines who are fully painted. Well nearly fully painted. Okay the ones that are out of the box are fully painted. I have started my own chapter with them and the amount of paperwork, background, was overwhelming.
There is a whole wealth of information available here. Some are gamers, some are mathhammers and some just like the painting and modeling side. And some are like me not very good at any one part.
