Vampire Counts Progress Log [W:2 D:1 L:1]
Hi Santawraith! Thank you for a wonderful introduction, it was fun to read! Congratulations and best wishes and blessings to you and your wife, the couple that games together I wish someone would paint my miniatures, ha ha! No fair, you named your own Hive Fleet! You're supposed to let the humans who made first contact name it. (History, real history is written by the Imperium you know. Xeno history is just slanted fanfiction). Anyway, even though you've been here already, welcome!
The first humans to encounter this fleet did name it such. For we came from the shadows and mists and fell upon them in there trenches. The cadian forces fought bitter and hard against the tyranid onslaught yet victory eluded them. For even when there reinforcing armor arrived it was no match for the flying tyrant and his pair of Carnifex's. The homoguants leapt and slew this way and that. Then there was the final stand of the brave Cadian forces, before the end. A lone leman russ and a brave pair of sentinal's pouring fire into the rushing brood lord and his genestealers. Before the soft tapping of a talon upon the door. As the Wing Tyrant ripped assunder the shell of the tank to reveal his delectable treat of Cadian flesh.
Since then that fleet was known as Fleet nosferatu for none can tell when they shall apear. To drain another world dry without any warning save that of winged montrosities swooping upon the unexpected.
As for the paint scheme of the fleet, it's a rather regal scheme. The carapice are varied shades of purple, depending on thier standing within the fleet. They are also streaked with different shades of purple, with a final highlight of scorpion green. The bodies are a boney color. My wife came up with the colors, and it works pretty well.
