Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hello fellow librarium online users. I have been using this site for a few months now and have found it to be most helpfull with painintng and gaming advice. so i finally decided to sign up officially.
Andrew is my name and i hail from sunny southern australia. I have been gaming in one way or another since i was 14, starting with warhammer fantasy, then good old D&D and various other roleplaying games. I still have some of those old dwarves from my first whfb army.
These days i am collecting a 40k Ork army. my first army since those dwarves all those years ago. i am enjoying the challenge of miniature painintng once more and suprising myself with the standard i have been able to achieve. I have musterd together about 800 points of assembled and painted models, with about the same again awaiting there turn in boxes.
I still play D&D also with a regular saturday group which i find to be a most enjoyable segway from the mundane daily grind of working and paying bills.
well thats it from me, just a quick thankyou to all the helpfull people here.
My ork force is a rounded army with a little bit of the horde approach, some speedy vehicles and shooty mek gubbinz thrown in.
With collecting my ork army I had an idea of an alliance between a warboss and a crazy big mek, I havent decided on any real fluff for the army yet however. i had this other idea that that they are all from an ice world where they fought with yeti like beasts when they were feral orks and clung onto the totemic symbol of an angry yeti....anyway i digress...
my list as it stands of built and painted models is;
warboss and a routine of 30 slugga boyz with nob and power klaw (horde part)
1 truck, 11 sluggas with nob and PK
3 buggies (fast attack bit)
1 deff dread
10 lootas (mek shooty bit)
i have a fair bit more to assemble and paint yet but i'm getting there
big mekk w shokk attack gun
30 shoota boyz
old school storm boyz
1 more truck, plus sluggas
2 boxes of bikes and
an Aussalt on black reach set
at the rate i'm going that will take another 6 months, ha ha ha, but as any of you that have put the effort in know its worth it effort i reackon.
i'll try and put some pics up of my progress in the future.
