So, after some horrible horrible problems involving internet and employment, I've finally come back, and decided to make a post here since, eh, might as well. (And I think I never made a post here the first time I peeked at this forum, so...)
Seeing how popular I was when I left, I'm sure I need no introducing, but just to clear up any of the legends that were certain to have developed in my absence~
Due to a lack of resources, currently my warhammer assets are still just the Tau and some Dwarfs, more or less in the unassembled state, haunting me. Sadly for those guys, something new caught my tabletop imagination...
That being Warmachine. I finally assembled two starter sets together, that being Cygnar and Menoth, and gave them a base paint (and just a base paint, as I fret and muse about whether I should go with the standard colours, or try something different), and even had a couple of games against a friend that also barely knew anything about the game. (Was rather shocked at both of them. The first game I was certain that I had won given how I pinged his warmachines really badly, made a few tactical errors, and lost, while the second game I thought I might as well give up given how I was down to a caster and a barely functional light jack, took a risk and attacked his caster, and won.)
So anyways~ that's my current situation.
So... ehm... how's yours?
Hey, welcome back! I've been thinking about getting into Warmachine, myself; unfortunately, nobody in my direct gaming group is interested in getting involved, so I'm a little out of luck in that department. Hope you enjoy the new layout and stick around for a while!
The new layout keeps me from checking up what my old posts were it seems though. >w<
(Oh well, I think I found out where I left off in the Summer Arena...)
Well I'm starting to really like the concept of Warmachine. I can have a full game with, say, a mere 15 models? Shocking! Granted, all metal models is a bit pricy (though, only needing a full unit of 5 isn't really too troublesome as opposed to, say, needing a full unit of 25), but they're starting to bring out plastics too...
...and a new rulesystem too, I've heard. Oh how I wish I was making more than enough money. -w-;
Welcome back. I've never really played Warmachine before, but I've heard its quite good. I'm just getting into Necromunda and Mordheim. They're quite similar in that you can have a game with only a few models.

Gah! So all that means is I definetly need to buy new books on January. Next I'll be finding out that there's a new edition of Warhammer or 40k coming out right away. -w-;
Necromunda and Mordheim don't really have the variety of models that Warmachine has though, and Warmachine has the added benefit of steampunk. And even more beneficial, none of this silly "Oh the world/universe is ending!" nonsense. Gee, thanks GW for making my fights seem utterly pointless, unless if I was playing Tyrannid...
