I'm an Australian who is reasonably new to Miniature wargaming. I've just returned from England where as part of my holiday I visited Warhammer World and collected enough miniatures to assemble a 1500pt Tau Empire Army. This will my first army.
I had already painted a few Pathfinders prior to my holiday and I find I am really interested in the finer points of painting miniatures. Apart from that I'm just here to find out more about the game in general before I unleash my Tau on someone.
Hey there hawkgeminus, i live Australia as well (in the NSW region) hehe, so you've only just come back from England? how was it over there? i've heard that there is a LOT of 40k & Fantasy Conventions/Game Days there & i also wouldn't mind going to Forge World there lol.
I see that you have chosen the awesome fire power of the Tau as your first army, they hurt... a LOT if wielded properly i know from experience & everyone here at the Tau forums will give you a LOT of helpful advice, so enjoy your stay here & welcome to LO.
Thanks for the welcome Bizkit,
I'm in Western Sydney at the moment. I sometimes hang out at Games Workshop in Parramatta or Liverpool. England was awesome, I was only over there for 3 weeks but we fit a lot in and Warhammer stuff is a lot cheaper there. lol. Looking forward to working out the strategy involved in using the Tau. I've already posted my first attempt at an Army list over here if you want to check it out.
