Hi, I'm from Utah, USA. I first got started in the hobby a long time ago with a small borrowed force (grey knights) but never commited to it. I loved the lore, and the universe. I'm always reading the books, or playing the few video games of Warhammer out there. Recently, I wanted to get into the table top seriously. I found a Necron force on the local classifieds (was about a 2k point army with 16 Immortals for 90 bucks!). I only played a few games, as I have no friends that play 40k and there are no 40k clubs that I have found in Utah yet. I loved the game from the first match, but I disliked how the Necrons played (in my opinion, it felt slow, and fairly simple). So, two months ago I picked up the start of the army I thought would be a polar opposite to Necrons... Chaos Daemons! Sadly, a month after I bought my starting force (one prince, 10 bloodletters, and 5 horrors) my fiance was diagnosed with cancer; so I am unable to put more then $30 every two months into the hobby. I hope to expand what I know about Daemons and become a great player with the resources here. Thanks for reading
Hey there nopi, so you started with the Necrons but now you have the Daemons so what do you think about the Daemons & does your army follow a specific God?
Well anyways you will get a lot of helpful advice so enjoy your stay here & welcome to LO.
Nopi. Hi there. you failed to mention what part of utah you live in. Its a decent sized state. I will be relocating to St. George in a year or less. If you are anywhere near there I would be happy to work with you on your armies. Be well.
Armies to date:
2500 Ogre Kingdoms
2500 Tomb Kings
1500 Space MArines
I'm near Salt Lake City, quite a long drive from St. George sadly =(
So far, I love how daemons look, and while I was hoping for some mechanic to make deep striking a little easier (not sure I really count Icons as that), I do love how they look, and the niche every unit can fill.
When I first looked into daemons, I wanted a mono Khorne army, but soon realised that wouldn't be very much fun to play in the short term. So, now I'm going to do a Khorne, Tzeentch, and a little Slaanesh. I hate Nurgle units (how they look, I mean) and don't plan on buying any.
