Hey there DaveC64 (Dave), so what army/armies do you have? & what other games are you into &/or play?
Well anyways you will get a lot of helpful advice here so enjoy your stay & welcome to LO.
Well I grew up playing Warhammer and have dabbled in 40K, Flames of War and like the look of Warmachine too. But I thought I would have a go at creating my own fantasy game with my friends, it’s a PNP (Print and Print) game, called Three Plains. It plays a lot like Warhammer, but it’s not as Character driven and is far more realistic (I say with it having Dragons and Dwarves in it lol). For instance, in Three Plains troops get tired, General's soldier ability decides who goes and sets out first and Characters who have 3 attacks and under just get marched over by hundreds of troops.
I still love warhammer and think it’s a great game, but a lot of my gaming time is taken up Playing Three Plains these days and writing its rules. In fact, I'm play testing it this Saturday, where developing the Imperial Elves at the moment.
I joined this forum to really keep up-to-date and too get some ideas for my own game, as some of the best ideas have come from other gamers like you guys.
