My name is Simon, I'm friends with Tom (Minus T) and I've been away from the hobby and the forum for such a long time I thought I would introduce myself and say hi. Also I'm not 100% certain I actually bothered to introduce myself the first time round, so now I am taking the time to do it almost properly...
Armies-wise, I collect Eldar for 40k. I have been known to dabble with other armies, I have some ancient Empire stuff at my parent's house and a strong desire to collect a proper army of lovely warhammer elves but I have been trying to get my Eldar painted by not buying any more models until they are done - I have a long way to go...
Hence why I am here, again! I am trying to kick start my GW hobbying so I intend to use the blog for a collection of probably random posts about how it is all going collecting, painting and, hopefully in the not too distant future, gaming wise.
Otherwise, I live on the South coast of England and would love to get into things a bit more, I haven't played 40k since (seemingly) forever and would love to give the new rules a whirl...
Not sure what else to say really, be gentle I'm only new
G'day Simon and welcome to the wonderful world of Dis...LO, if you are interested in starting a new army then perhaps heading over to the Projects forums and having a read of the Tale of X Gamers thread that Kuffy has stickied at the top of the page. If you are interested in joining the fantasy community, than perhaps a read of CaptainSarathai's LO Campaign may spark your interest, it is in the General Announcement forums.
Welcome and happy gaming to you
Cheers for the heads up DeathPoke, ToXG thread looks good, I'm away til the start of October but maybe I'll just join in then and catch up as things go along, I'd do a 12 month project anyways!!
First off I read that as "Hello Losers". Maybe a guilty conscience on my part? Who knows.
Welcome (back) to the forum dude. Don't go for the Warhammer Elves. All they have is vast amounts of Daz washing powder to keep their clothes clean. All the best people play Chaos. We have spikes and skulls and daemonettes.
Hell, even the Daemonettes have spikes and skulls. Some of the spikes have daemonettes and, well you get the idea about the whole skulls thing. Seriously........... skulls and spikes. You can't refuse.
Hahahahaha!! Now you mention it that would be an easy mistake to make!!
While we're on the subject of starting again, how do I put a link in my signature that doesn't look like a URL??
Otherwise, I understand the skulls and spikes thing, I have some (a very few) Chaos for 40k but I really need to find some motivation to finish my space elves, hence why I'm here
Ah, well. You write something like "Chaos are the bestest" then highlight that and click on 'link' in the control panel. Chuck your link in there and when you click ok you should be able to click on "chaos are the best' and be taken to what ever you link it too.
Space Elves, ah a man to my own heart. People look at me strangely when I refer to Plasma guns as "sun guns" and say 'Space Orks'
LO, ok. Here's an example. I want to put a link to my Chaos thread in my sig. So I write.............
"My Chaos Thread"
Then highlight text and click the "link symbol in the control panel. It the little world symbol next to the envelope. then copy and past the link of you chosen page into the pop up box and click ok. It should then come up as something like this...
My Chaos Thread
(it should look somethin like this [ URL="http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/projects/196696-boraks-marauders-pic-heavy-35.html"]My Chaos Thread[/URL] )
Thank you for the warm welcome
I hope you can now see a link to my very fledgling blog in my signature (Thank you Lord Borak)
Needless to say it is not likely to be updated every day or possibly every week because I'm still getting into the whole internet forum and how it all goes together business but I'll do my best
Oh and just for Lord Borak - Spiky Skull-y Goodness (w/ Daemonettes)
