Well, I was only meaning to be here temporarily, to get my WH40k discussion fix while Portent was down. Unfortunately, it seems that after almost 7 years it's down for good. I guess I'm here to stay.
Anyway, I'm a Tyranid player that started shortly after the 3rd Edition rules were released. Even before that I was interested in the game, though. I just didn't have the money to start up an army. My win-loss record is pretty poor, but that has yet to stop me from enjoying the game.
Why do the survivors remain anonymous -- as if cursed -- while the dead are revered? Why do we cling to what we lose while we ignore what we still hold?
Name none of the fallen, for they stood in our place, and stand there still in each moment of our lives.

Sigh... we all wept bitter tears when Portent died.
So, who exactly were you on Portent?
"You're very interesting, and very perceptive. So interesting, and so perceptive, in fact, that we shall now fight with KNIVES!"
"I've been dead long before you were born, and I'll be dead long before you'll be dead!"
