Ahh another forum. *feels good*
Invisionfree too ^_^
I've recently quit *say it isn't true * Magic: The Gathering and have moved on to greater things. Hopefully. I just bought the "The Battle For Macragge" set and i've enjoyed painting putting those Nids together. I *may* have used an old spray paint to undercoat most of them and they may have a bumpy texture on them but that means...they...are... in a snow storm and have been pelted with hundreds of snow balls right?
I'm a Tyranid fan. I'm planning on making my army look like Starcraft's Zerg a bit as well. I'm gunna try for a conversion down the road turning a gene stealer into "Infested Kerigan". That will be hot.
Anyways, i'll see you folks around the boards!
Hi Alex+ and welcome to LO, please remember to read the rules that can be found at the link at the top of the page. I am sure that if it's advice on tactics with your bugs or inspiration with modeling then you will find it here. By the way what does the + stand for?

Welcome to LO.
In regards to hastily coated minatures with lumps(sounds like a comercial), I've had some luck in the past hiding such surface variations with inks and paints, provided I was going for a dark colour scheme.
Barring that, I guess you can always make it part of their colour or fluff scheme. Say that batch was quickly hatched or grown by the hive fleet and their exoskeletons hadn't had time to form properly maybe.
