New member here, just thought it right to make an introduction thread.
Hmm, a little about me. I've been a reader of White Dwarf for many a year now, and I've collected armies of Catachans, Skaven, Warhammer Chaos, and 40k Orks throughout that time. It just so happens I never did find out what all the fuss about playing games with your models once they were painted was, and instead I just let mine sit around collecting dust, before I got bored of the whole thing and chucked everything I had related to Warhammer in the bin (I know).
Well, about a month or two ago I was in the local WH Smiths looking for a magazine I buy every month when I came across a copy of White Dwarf, which I hadn't bought for around 2 years or so. I ended up buying the mag, and have been doing every month since. Well, to put the icing on the cake, the other week I was bored and had alot of free time on my hands so I decided to watch the Alien quadrilogy boxset, which I'd bought abouy a year previously but never did get around to watching.
I suppose you can guess the outcome, I'm ready to start constructing a Tyranid army. Although, in the past I never paid much attention to building an army, more like I was just happy to collect and paint some cool looking models and have them on a shelf or something. I've bought the Warhammer 40k rulebook, and the Tyranid codex, but I'm still trying to get my head around all of the new information.
So, that is the stage I am at right now. I haven't yet bought any models, as I'm still not 100% sure of what I plan on doing.
So erm, hello everyone. I should be sticking around for a while. :shifty:
Hello there, and welcome. You have come to he right place for help in every aspect of Warhammer. While I personally am not a Tyranids expert, I have a friend who plays them and I have helped him construct his army from time to time. Their customizability, speed, and close combat prowess are something to be feared. Best of all, and the thing you probably like most is that the models just look damn cool. If you are someone who has painted for quite some time then I'd love to see some of your bug models when they are finished, they really are awesome looking.
You threw it in the bin????
Nice to hear you're back though
