Well...I'm still earning all the main rules on how to play.
I learnt 6 months using my mate's orks as speed freaks...got bored pretty quick.
I played 11 games 8 of which I won.
I still don't know all the rules but I got a few good mates who've been playing for over 5 years and they assisted me while i played.
Had some good times with orks, but got sick of constantly having to just charge into melee combat.
I managed to beat tau once and IG twice. had 2 Eldar wins. the other 3 were against Space marines.
But now after putting a fair bit of effort into looking at what I want to play ive decided on Chaos. Emporer's children.
I love craft and painting and plan on making my things looking flash as possible.
I've written up a 1500 pt army. I've got the codex and will buy a daemon prince to assemble and work on and the week after 2 troops.
I have a few questions too.
If I have a daemon prince with daemonic stature, how big does the model have to be? Is a standard one enough?
Buying and setting up the pieces I'm really bad at.
I will post my army list in the chaos area of the forums to have it looked at.
I'm a big fan of high quality units. I dunno if everyone approves of this but i love quality over quantity.
Anyway....a little more about me.
I'm in school, in year 12. I work part-time and have money to fund my addictions
I have saturdays off to go play at GW. Won't till I get a bit better and can play on my own
Ok thanks ladies and gentlemen.
Welcome to LO, and Chaos as well. Orks can be a bit tricky to play and have a playing style that not everone would like. Glad to see you found an army you like instead. So, have you played any games with your chaos, If so how do you compair them to orks(More fun, less fun. ect...) Emporors children are pretty cool, I've always considered them one of the more interesting legions. Its also good that you enjoy the hobby itself. In fact I'm taking a break from gaming myself just to focus on the painting and modeling aspects of 40k.
A daemon prince with stature needs to be 10mm tall: I believe that is about 2.5 inches although i could be wroong.
Anywho, Nice to have a new member to LO.
That is not dead which may eternal lie,
for in strange aeons even death may die.
Being my first time playing against nids with chaos I got my ass kicked...
Although the army was made very cheaply and I kept everything low budget. Used to making ork armies
Against orks I won. It's amazing what a decent armour save and some firepower can do against orks.
Picked Emperor's children because I thought they sound different
And I want to make a chaos army that rebels against chaos. To make that fluffy it'd be easiest using them I think. Helps that I like them too
