I thought this was a bit funny, and I almost posted it in General Hobby as it isn't a joke per se. It is (I HOPE) a mistake on the behalf of GW!

its probably made out of solid gold instead of white metal!
clearly they are trying out new metals to work with

GW does that when they first bring out figures. Occassionally they update the price much later than usual because the data slips through the system.

IIRC this was the case with a Space Wolves Chaplain a while back (about a year ago).

Still, that's a lot of money for one figure.

Really, I think I have. I seem to remember another mistake like this on some GW site which was even more than £9999!

As I have always said... The vampires bring many joys... Although I really thought I got a good deal by buying the Spearhead... Maybe I should email GW and point out I wish a refund as I was under the impression the Varghulf would make me a lot of money when I got it in the limited spearhead.
