Today I tried out a tester Nid army against the new chaos dex. (mine was all assualty) turn 2 in combat lost most of my gaunts and used them as Spine gaunts and couldn't afford without number.

But nothing is as bad as my hive tyrant Being locked in assualt for 3 full turns against Lucius the eternal he made every save.

In the end i killed everything but had no scoring units left

Once saw a guy charge in with bloodthirsters, roll 28 die to hit...and come up with 28 1's and 2's, so all misses. Ouch.

I can't make a 3+ armour save but a 5+ 90% i get it I'm thinking about Guard conscripts

Watching a grot with a golden gun take out my friends ultramarines chapter master (cant remember the name of him) the turn after he took down an avatar in hth combat has to be my best moment. I still have that grot somewhere ....

i play squats with the warvault codex, and i was doing my local game store's owner a favor and taught this 13-year-old to play 40k. He had boned up on the rules beforehand and he knew the backstory (as stated in 4th ed) pretty well. However, 4th ed didn't mention squats anywhere and when he sees my army (2500 pts squats) he goes 'what the crap are those things? they look like dwarfs with guns!'
I told him they were essentially dwarfs with guns and gave him 10 minutes with the codex.
He's playing 3000 pts of tau vs my 2500 pts of squats.
By the third turn, my exo-suits (which make up 3/4 of my army) had surrounded his last crisis team and their hammerhead.
3 tau vs. 40 exo-suits.
by the end of turn five, all that was left was his crisis commander and my ancestor lord, who promptly sniped his commander with a well-placed ancestor spirit psychic power.

I tried the other day and wasted a chimera and 3 squads of gaurdsmen on a tyrant with only 2 saves forced and both were saved... such a waste of shots.

Deepstruck a bio-acid sporemine in front of an IG special weapons squad that had just disembarked from their chimera. They had 2 meltaguns and a whole lot of lasguns. He starts shooting at it (the squad was just out of template range). I watch as both meltaguns hit and begin to curse fate. I watch as he rolls two 1s to wound. I watch as he misses with the first volley from his lasguns. I watch as the second volley only scores one hit. It kills the sporemine. The sporemine explodes and... TAKES OUT THE CHIMERA'S MULTILASER!!!!!!

AND the chimera was about to put the hurt on my gaunts with its multilaser too!

I was playing an Appocolipse game not too long ago. Basicly bring what you own, yada yada. Since the Chaos players were outnumbered by a disturbing amount we all got to pick a stratiegic asset each. Me being the one with a Great Unclean One picked Major possesion to put the hurt one one of their indipendent charicters. So the turn comes to summon my GUO. Asked the kid who the older players elected in good sport to be the general of the imperium what indipendent charicter they wanted to loose. However the kid unexpectedly picked Malneus Calgar.... So Chaos danced round when i roled a 4 to turn Clagar into a GUO.

Killing Wazdaka and 10 maxed nob bikers in close combat with a six man honor guard.Everybody involved died. I won by killing >1250 points with a conversion beamer motf.

13 year old kids with 3000 points of stuff, it makes me sad...
