I thought that several weeks ago there was a forum announcement stating that necro posting would no longer be looked down upon as long as you had a question/comment relevant to the old topic at hand?
Was this decision reversed? Because I have seen many topics since then closed because it was considered necro posting. Even though (in my opinion) most of the people reviving said posts had a legitimate question/comment.
Anyways, just wondering in case I happened to do it myself (not likely)

There was, I believe, a ruling awhile back (during the summer?) that necromancy was alright as long as the comment was relevant to the discussion. Though, why people would dig as far back as one or two years to find such posts is beyond me... No judgement, though. They're not doing anything wrong.
the practice known as Necro posting is currently acceptable although in some cases it gets stamped on, classically posts like "this is my list, should I add black guardians or spear of Khaine" from 2004, where the user hasnt logged on for 3 years, and it is a poll is pretty pointless, in that case it is likely to get closed
Everything you have been told is a lie!
