I'm not sure how many people acess this forum on an iPhone so I don't know if this is somehting that needs to be dealt with or just my problem I need t learn to live with.
For some reason every time I load this forum in iPhone safari the advert for amazon, which shows up as a little panel at the side on my mac in safari loads as a full blown whole page from amazon at the top of the page. It takes an age to load.
Its not such a problem when there is a wifi connection as this only seems to happen on the first page I go to, after that I'm ok, so put up with one slow load and you're LOing away. Problem is out and about on a normal GPRS connection it makes browsing the forum pretty much impossible. It used to be fine and I spent many an hour waiting outside River Island changing rooms killing time on the forum
Anyone else had this problem or any ideas?
I've had the same problem as you with the ebay advert that is on the first page I load. As you say, here it is only a thin bar, but on the iPhone it loads as a massive screen, and can be a right royal pain in the arse.
I've found once I start browsing around it tends to dissapear, but as you say, it is a bit of a pain!
I haven't had any problem on my iphone, but then again, im a subscriber, so no adverts.
Even when I log out, I get the ads, but no problem like you're having, it stays a small bar and loads pretty quickly.
Yes, I did deep-strike your sister...
Necrons : W-8 D-3 L-7 (Sleeping in their TombFoam, waiting for a new codex)
Chaos Forces (CSM/CD): W-42 D-19 L-28
Apocalypse Games : W-4 D-0 L-1 (4 Titans, Brass Scorp, 3 Baneblades, 2 Bombers, 3 Fighters, and a Partrage in a Pear Tree)
I've just check on mine, and I don't get any issue with the ads. I've not fiddled with any of the settings on the browser to the best of my recollection, and it makes no difference if I'm logged in or not.
