Why does the General announcement info say it will be locked for all members except moderators and the administrator if all members can access it? (or is my computer just strange because i can access it easily)
Becasue the Mods and Admins don't want members like us clogging up the area reserved for site annoucements with our junk.
Yoss i meant why does it say its locked when it isn't?Originally Posted by Lord Yossanrion

Works for me, so I suppose its your account. To the nearest Mod!
I believe the point of the subforum being ‘locked’ is that only Mods and Admins can create new threads in the forum, not that ordinary members can’t access it. I’m not sure whether this is actually true, though, seeing as ordinary members can make new posts in reply to the threads there (do not start a new thread in there just to see if it works!) but that was the point. Members can post in this section (Site Feedback and Support) whenever they encounter a problem or get a good idea, then the Admins or Mods responsible will make an announcement about the new changes in the General Announcement forum. If everyone could post in the General Announcement forum as they liked, it would likely become cluttered and the important posts lost in the mess. However, if the forum was locked from viewing rather than posting, it wouldn’t make any sense having it either, now would it?
