    Librarium unavailable

    Is anyone having the same problem I am having, every morning (UK time) when I try to visit the Librarium site, I get the same thing 'Librarium is unavailble, try refresh' etc, what is going on with this, is it a server problem or a database problem.
    Whatever it is you should get it sorted, because it is really annoying, this also happens when I am actually logged in and try to go to a new page.
    The site just seems really unreliable and fragile at the moment, is there a technical issue here.

    Hi yes, I think it is a scalability issue, at the bizzi time (as you say approx 9am uk time, the bandwidth and/or the servers simply become overloaded, unfortunatley unless somone is prepared to purchase more for us, I suspect we are stuffed

    Not only is it U.K. morning when everyone is logging on it is also 5-70 PM in AUS. That means everyone getting home from work/kids getting home from malls or friends houses are just logging on. So its a double whammy on that time so the site goes down.

    If you just factor in 2 hours everyday of just accepting that LO isn't available then I think we can all accept it. Unless someone trusts Blackhat enough to send him a lot of money.

    It's annoying... LO is also very slow for me at peak times - perhaps there is some way of making the users take up less space? I don't know much about this, just a suggestion.

    Well, like Chered said, bandwidth and server upgrades cost money. It quickly adds up too. It's not some piddly 15 dollars a month we're talking about - it can quickly reach hundreds to thousands of dollars per month, especially with a very busy webforum such as ours.

    If you want to help rectify the problem, we have a wonderful Subscriber option.
