Like Lost Nemesis has already been kind enough to explain, the clans we have on this forum are just various groups of members who share a common interest or hobby and have created a thread in the Clubs & Clans subforum to discuss it. We have clans for Warhammer armies such as the Sons of Russ and the Ork Klan, clans for members living in certain geographical location such as the ANZAC Clan and the US Clan, and clans for almost every other thing that two or more members find interesting to chat about, including the Music Clan and the Anime Clan.
Most clans you can simply join by posting a polite introduction in the clan thread if you share the particular hobby or interest that the clan is about, while other clans require an application to be sent to the clan leader (usually the first member to post in the clan thread) or passing a membership test, as is for example the case of the Fluff Masters’ Clan, where new clan members must prove their knowledge of Warhammer fluff before being rewarded with the clan badge. Information on what the clan is about and how to join it can usually be found in the first post of the clan thread, which doubles as an introduction to the clan and its purpose.
The Clubs & Clans subforum was created to give members an opportunity to chat about their hobbies without spamming the other forum sections; feel free to browse the clan threads and see if any appeal to you, or find a few other members sharing a hobby of yours not currently represented by a clan, and start your own clan thread. If you have any questions or comments about the clans, please don’t hesitate to PM me or ask them in this thread.
I hope this answered your question.
