I believe that you the mods on this site have often gone to far and in turn failed many times to make their point "on subjects you deem inappropriate" because the responses are often hypocritical and often more rude than the subjects they actually respond too. Of course this doesn't apply to most mods that actually do their job, just a few that find a perverted pleasure in closing/deleting threads and belittling members--like a member who just happen to disagree and has the modpower to shut them up. Like this post and the one below me, and the one that relates too.
I'm going to jump in here and say that I too have heard about this, though I myself have never witnessed it. Please, be responsible mods. Don't act immature or like tyrants, be a role model for members new and all. Guide the members and do not spite nor smite them out of hand.
Also don't attempt to beat Bornin's lock count, that's not a cool hobby. Things were different way back in those misty times of legend.

I came, I saw, I got a different type of Leman Russ.

1) PM the moderator in question. If this proves fruitless, move on to the next step.
2) PM the moderator in question's superior (mod >> supermod >> supervisor >> admin). Repeat this step until you are talking to somebody about your problem.
Recommendation: Do not hassle mods if they will not talk to you. Instead, contact their superior mods, and let them work it out.
A side note: Please do not get frustrated if it takes some time for a reply to be received. Moderators are very busy people, and will get to replying to your PM as promptly as possible, taking into consideration their other duties.
Yes siree. Also, you're lucky that Caluin didn't see this thread... he has a thing about people complaining about Moderators. :ninja:
Too late. I see everything.
Here's the thing - Moderators are human, and they can make mistakes. They're volunteers that do a crappy job that few others have the stones to do, and they get flak from members that -
A) Don't have the full story, and
Think they know better than we do.
For the record, I have zero issues with someone filing a complaint about a Moderator's action. I'll be more than happy to take a second look at the situation and either explain fully what the problem was, or even reverse the decision. I have been known to do that, even at the loss of reputation amongst my fellow Moderators. Hell, I've even strpped down a few of them.
I do take issue with flame bait threads like this, though. I go out of my way to ensure our Moderator Team is both fair and intelligent. We have a diverse mix of both compassionate Mods and, well, 'mean' mods. So far it's worked great, so I see no reason to fix a working system.
If you think a Moderator has wronged you, then let someone know. Chered, Grephaun, or myself are more than willing to lend an ear.
Now. On to the second piece of business.
No returns for banned members. I've made exceptions for you twice now, '...got Rending?'. Once when you returned from banning as 'LictorInTheGrass', and again when you returned as your current incarnation. That's a mistake I shall not repeat again.
Consider yourself gone. As I said in a different thread - 'It's far easier for me to reban you than it is for you to rejoin. And much more satisfying for me.'
Please note that I'm not banning '...got Rending?' for this post - I'm rebanning him. Again.
I'm pointing this out so that everyone doesn't think I'm banning him for this post. I will never ban someone for voicing their opinions, so long as they do it constructively.
Questions or comments can be PM'd to me.
