This is my 1000pt lizardmen list that so far ranked me 7th in conflict and a couple of handfulls of massacres at my local GW.
-Spawning Of Sotek
-Charm Of The Jaguar Warrior
4.19 Saurus Warriors
1.The first scar veteran is there to be me army general and tank up the unit of saurus some more.
2.The 2nd is usually there to hide in the unit and then spring out 18inches (charm of the jaguar warrior) with its 5 S7 attacks(spawning of sotek) and mess up cavalry or war machines.
3.The priest is there to give me a bit of magic.
4.The big unit of saurus is so big as i have found that any smaller there never seems to be enough to survive and dish enough out and win combat
5.The two units of skinks have more than often won me the game inflicting poisen, march blocks etc, these units allow me a bit of speed and cause a major nuisance on the enemy
6.Last but not least is the STEGADON. I know it seems a bit expensive for 1000pts but it has rarely let me down, with its crazy impact hits, being stubborn, causing terror and having a boltthrower on its back it gets the job done.Especially being T6 with 5 wounds it can take a copping and still keep going.
Well tell me wat you think of my list?
But don't you get bored with it after a few games? As it is pretty straight forward with tactics. The stegadon in a 1000 pts list is always funny, they rarely can counter it's high T effectively.
And where do you let the priest walk? As he could get shot easy, if he isn't in a unit...
Well sometimes but the Skinks and the saurus scar-veteran with 18"inch movement offer some real fun, smashing chariots and ruining cavalry and the best thing is that no-one expects it. OH NO A SCAR-VETERAN JUST SPRINTED AT ME AND ATE MY UNIT, is usually the response i get.
And concernig my priest i can either put him in the steg giving him a 2+ armour save or i just lurk him behind stuff on one side of the board considering most of his spells only need line of sight
I'm surprised your JSoD catches people off guard, he is quite a popular build.
But I agree that he sure is fun to use ^_^
he can get the +2 CR for that but not reduce the unit's rank bonus because he's not Unit Strength 5 or more. it works for distracting enemy units from the flank of my saurus unit (which happens to be the only powerful unit i've got, apart from the JSoD that is )
Actually the +2 for attacking in the rear needs US5 as well, so the JSoD won't get this bonus
