Now, I don't actually know how many of the rules we're using are houserules. Either way, I'll give a brief run down about them before asking for help. Originally, the armies were 1000 pts total. At this point, we are have decided to field up to 1500 pt lists, however, only 1000 pts are free. The units on the base list cannot have upgrades and only 150 pts for special choices, no rare.
The rest of the 500 pts has to be bought using gold generated every turn, and upgrades can be bought for the base list. Also, anything not on the base list is removed from the list if it dies; that means I have to buy it again including upgrades. My special list has a few querks left over from when we were playing 1000pts, because we were allowed to adjust only our base lists.
Now, since I have been doing very well (luck), the other players have ganged up on me. I haven't been able to collect any revenue since turn 2, so my army list has been restricted. If I'm ever able to collect revenue, I plan on fielding a cold one unit or two. My opponents are dwarves, empire, and tomb kings.
The Empire and Dwarf players are both fielding similar armies. Shooters and cannons hiding behind infantry or knights. Also, the dwarves have a gyrocopter. Meanwhile, the tomb king player is struggling to make his army work against all of the dispel dice from the dwarves. It may not be a lot, but it has been slowing him down.

Due to the presence of the dwarves, I've decided to abandon the magic approach. If magic defense becomes an issue, I'll need to buy a spawning of tepok eventually. I plan on mounting my SSV on a cold one, and turning the warchief into a flying warmachine assassin. Also, I may have to drop the cold one riders since I'd probably lose one every battle, and then have to buy it in order to field the unit again. Any suggestions to my future special list or my base list? It is still technically adjustable until this Sunday. At my disposal are any lizardman units other than terradons, slann, or stegadons. Thanks alot for any help!
Edit: After going over the magic rules again, I'm debating about trying the magic approach after all. Since I've already bought the level 2 priest upgrade, I could get two skink priests with the scar veteran. Against the Empire and Tomb Kings it might give me an edge, but I still am worried about the dwarves.
Another alternative is using chameleon skinks and add a second scar-vet to be BSB. Either way, it would lead to the CoR and 5 skniks being dropped, and maybe the warchief.
