2000 point army list for a newbie :D

Hey, just wanted to run a list by some people who actually know what works and what doesn't. The basic idea is to advance the saurus/TG units in the middle with the EOTG and razors protecting the flanks. The terradons do the usual job of striking out at war-machines and lone wizards. The

I would drop a razordon pack. Then I would split the two remaining between your two rare slots.

With the saved points I would do the following. Make your Slann a BSB, bump the Saurus unit up to 18 and give them spears, and then I would add an extra skink handler to each razordon pack.

I agree on the BSB for the Slann. That will be the best 25 points you ever spend.

If I were you I would do Demandred said and change the razors to salimanders. They do much more damage to heavly armoured troops, blocks of troops and treemen. Also the panic tests they cause can ruin a night goblins day.
I fail to see what the sauruses achieve. I would rather 5 saurus cavelry and a unit of skirmishing skinks.
    good luck in your winning.
Daemonic cheese-how? Well, you would need to start with daemonic milk, i guess...

Maybe sallies are better, I just have a fondness of razors since when the first time i used them i managed to completely mince a 6 man unit of those ork boar rider guys. The saurus are there to provide some solid blocks that i can hold down enemy units with while i hammer the flanks of whatever they grab onto, the cavalry i've never tried out since i like to rely on my forces doing what i want, when i want. I know they will go stupid at the worst possible time.

I personally also like salamanders better, as I feel their extra range and armor mitigation is better, and they have less of a chance of mincing their own handlers.

However one advantage razordons have is that nobody wants to charge something that could potentially shoot them 20 times (or 40 if you keep them as a single unit). So they are a psychological factor and can help keep your flank clear of fast cavalry and the like.

That and I personally like the razordon models a bit better

As for the saurus, between them and the templeguard, you have to nice killy blocks of troops for your skirmishers to revolve around.

Yes but this army would be doomed if there was 2 blocks of 20 warriors of chaos with mark of nurgle. With cavalry you can flank and cause some serious damage plus with them in combat most of the time and with cold blooded it won't happen much anyway. Nothing in your army can handle the heavily armoured troops, which is why you need sallies, but then again the models are much better for the razors. Whatever floats your boat.
