Welcome to Librarium Online!
i've played my first lizardmen battle today and i won. it was a 1999 point battle. actually 2000 points without lords. i used this list against an high elves player.
skink priest, lv2, EotG, rod of storm, dispel scroll.
skink chief, light armour, stegadon, stegadon war-spear
saurus scar-veteran, light armour, shield, spear, cold one
18 saurus warriors, f.c, spears, saurus scar-vet here
18 saurus warriors, f.c, spears
10 skink skirmishers
10 skink skirmishers
total: 1998 points.
he played with 3 units of 5 dragon princes, a tyranoc chariot, 3 lv2 mages, 2 units of 10 archers and 2 bolt throwers and 10 lothern sea guard with shields.
my opponent had the first turn and in my first turn i made a mistake which made me lose my whole left flank of 18 saurus warriors, 10 skinks and 5 terradons. but it started to get better and better for me, in turn 4, there were 2 mages running for the EotG, the LSG were running and 10 archers were crushed by the remaining unit of saurusses. the razordons shooted 5 dragon princes to heaven in 3 turns without any misfire, and the other stegadon with skink chief destroyed his chariot.
i've to say my opponent had some bad dice rolls, which actually made me win, cause in turn 5, he was able to charge my EotG in the flank with 5 dragon princes, but not any of his attacs wounded and in the second round of combat his dragon princes were defeated.
i think i like playing lizardmen a lot, maybe because i won, but do you think this is a good list?
of course if i'm allowed to take a lord, i'll take a slann in a unit of temple guard, but i think it is fun army to play. now i just have to save some money and i can stard with an battalion and army book.
It looks like a fairly good list. I think I would try to get a ward save on the vet. And maybe add in another razordon.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
thans. what i don't understand is that many people here say you need a ward save on a scar-vet. he already has a 1+ armour save and toughness 5 on a cold one, which i have taken.
and for the razordon, i don't know where to save the points. i think i could drop 2 terradons and the rod of storm, but i think i'll need these. do you have any ideas?
i think dropping one terradon for the glyph necklace is a good plan, but in my last battle two razordon already threathened enough to hold back 5 dragon princes, so i don't want the 4 remaining terradon to shrink even more. i think 4 is a nice number and two razordon should be enough for some threatening.
