I've played this list a couple of times, both against High elves and it stomped them both times, the number of times becalming cog ruined my opponent's Archmages IF spells cast with the book of hoeth was awesome. In the second of the games he just focused on trying to kill the Slann's unit. By the end of the game I had lost 12 out of 20 Temple guard and one skink unit, the rest of the army was intact.
My prefered lore here was life and it worked surprisingly well. Master of stone screwed over the bolt thrower emplacements which had been deployed on hills and I managed to hold back the dragon princes with mistress of the marsh until my saurus cav managed to charge them. I think life is pretty underrated as a lore considering all the spells are potentially castable in any given turn and they all have a sufficiently low casting cost to make that viable with a slann.
The war drum on the steg priest really worked as well, it enables the steg to walk between enemy units and blast them using the arcane config.
This list looks really good to me.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
