So this is the first part of ultimately a 2000 point list:
Level 2 skink priest w/ plaque of tepok
2x 10 skink cohorts
5 cold one cavalry w/ standard
I kind of want to swap out the standard for a power stone, but I'll want to have the standard model painted for future considerations.
Opponents are O&G, WoC, & Dwarves.
I like the list, but I think you will have problems with the armies you say you are going against. I think you would have problems getting past the armour saves and the static combat resolution. I think I would replace the priest with a scar-vet, and get some warriors.
I am right 94% of the time, why worry about the other 3%.
Well I've changed it around a bit by turning the priest into a scar-vet.
I could swap out the cold ones with saurus warriors to have something ranked (and a home for the scar-vet), but I'm afraid of just getting shot up by the likes of a dwarf gunline before I get to them.
The cohorts are painted so they're there to stay, unless anyone thinks it's worthwhile to spend the extra points to make them skirmishers (but they're still javelins..)
Use the skinks to screen your saurus (should you take them) and take the saurus unit naked to save points.
skirmishers work so much better so try to find the points. that way not only do they screen the saurus but its -1 to hit them first.
maybe just use your priest defensively rather than offensively, with a scroll or two at lvl 1. still get 3 dispell dice and can risk casting a spell per turn on 2 dice. this will free up some points if you need them.
