    Brand New to WFB (2000)

    Alright, so this will be my first time designing an army for this game (Although I am a pretty long time 40k player). I have read through the Fantasy Rulebook once.... soooo... yeah.... Anyways, any advice on how to play the army, or the army list itself is definitely welcome. This is how I started 40k, so thought it would work here too.


    Lord (General)- Saurus Oldblood- Cold One, Light Armor, Sword of Strife, Armour of Fortune- 260

    Really liked the idea of a BA General on top of a friggin raptor. The unique version was a bit pricey, so I decided on just making one. I feel he'd be pretty devastating in CC.

    Hero (BS- Saurus Scar-Veteran- Great Weapon, Light Armor- 121

    Needed a Standard Bearer. Not sure if you add the points for making him a BSB, then add for the Magic Banner. Need someone to clarify please...

    Hero- Gor-Rok- 215

    Seemed like another solid hero.

    Core- 29x Saurus Warriors- Champion, Standard- 343

    Core- 29x Saurus Warriors- Champion- 331

    Do I need the Musicians and Standards in these units? Was planning on having the Heroes in these units btw.

    Core- 10x Skink Skirmishers- 70

    Core- 10x Skink Skirmishers- 70

    Are these good?

    Special- 7x Cold One Cavalry- Champion, Standard- 285

    Retinue for the Lord.

    Rare- 2x Salamanders (6x Handlers)- 150

    Rare- 2x Salamanders (6x Handlers)- 150

    Seem fun and effective too.

    Replace the scimitar with the sword of strife. It does the same thing for 10 points less. And get a ward save. The shield I really find isn't worth it. Not enough magic missiles floating around now and really it boils down to a one use item.

    You add the points to make him a BSB, and then add the points for any magic banner, though he can be the BSB without a magic banner.

    Probably the character with the most efficient use of points.

    I would try to make these units bigger.

    Again, the skavenpelt banner can't be carried by these guys. The unit is a little big as well. Six should be the max size. A musician would be a good investment.

    Better. I would find a way to get the BSB the armour of destiny. BSB's are more important in this edition than the general.
