i need help making a 2000 pt competitive.
all i want is a slann plus the models i already have which is 2 sally hunting packs a stegadon (magnetised for all opstions)40 skinks skirmishers.
i also got 3 genereals u do not have to include them i have 2 skink chiefs 1 with blowpipe and a skink priest
im also on a budget so any bang for my buck tips would be helpful THANKS!
I don't think us making a list for you will help, so I offer you some advice
*Follow the Army Selection Summary Table
*No duplicate items
type it out here (follow the rules that are posted...) and we will all give you a hand..
- also some people use a program to make their army
A more detailed list of your models would be very helpful.
In terms of bang for your buck tips:
Use ebay. Seriously, it is great. If not, then order your models of places like wayland games and maelstrom games. they offer a decent discount on gamesworkshop prices and usually have special offers on too. As you have 40 skinks, i seriously recommend converting at least 12 into chameleon skinks. The conversion is so easy too. Just snip off the tails and replace them with a coil of green stuff. Then take off the crests and put two bulges on for the eyes, Et Voila!
Chameleon skinks are great for taking out enemy war machines, which looks like a priority for you given your two stegadons.
Just give us a list of your models and we can start to think it through for you.
Well i'd reccommend buying a battallion then. You need some saurus warriors to make up your core. Skink skirmisher units are effective, but become redundant if you have too many units. Saurus give you a solid centre. The temple guard give you a bunker for your Slann.
You can then make saurus characters out of the cold one riders as well as a small unit of cavalry.
Well done on having salamanders, they are the best unit in the army.
Again i recommend converting up some chameleon skinks.
If you're up for buying a battallion i can write you a fairly competative list...
