First stage of my army :)

Hi! This is the first level of points I'm going to bring my army up to. What do you think?

The SV goes into the saurus for extra cc power and to give them his LD.

The priest goes into skinks.

The Suarus is th main unit.

The skinks are for protecting the priest, flanking a unit fighting with the saurus or fighting a weak unit after thinned out by salamander.

The terradons are for killing of enemy warmachines, lone wizards, weak units or charging of already fleeing units.

The salamander can breathe fire.


Thinking about skipping the SV to bolster the skinks, get another sallie, some more terradons, getting a unit of skirmish skinks or bolster the saurus.

Personaly i would go with a great weapon on the Scar Vet. I would rather have him hit harder than be able to take hits, so drop the shield.

How are your ranking up your Saurus, only i would suggest dropping 3 of them so you can buy a ward or good magic armour for your general. Alternatively just run him with GW and Light armour and should do ok still at this points limit.

In fact at this points limit i would even consider just using 18 Saurus (or 17 + Scar Vet). Use the points to get another salamander team or break the skinks into 2 units of skirmishers.

An alternative is to get rid of the SKinks all together, and take the points to combined with the exsisting Saurus unit and try to field 2 smaller units of Saurus warriors.

You can drop a level on the Skink Priest aswell, if not drop him all together. Unless you have him to try and get a certain spell off to buff your units i would consider naked lvl1 or not at all.

They are just a couple of suggestions as to what i would do.

Ok, thanks! I'll rank my saurus 6x4 with the SV.
The reason why my skinks are ranked up i for "bunkering" the preist.
Should I have my SV?

At 750pts, im not even sure you need a priest. I would be choosing a SV over a Priest anyway at this limit. Unless you give the priet some magic item with a specific role in mind then i wouldnt bother. There will be you with one spell and lots of dice, and your opponent with one spell and lots of dice (chances are). And Lo Heavens isnt amazing (i take it skinks are still tuck with the one lore).

So, unless you wnat the priest to do somthing specific get rid of him.

How about dropping the priest, replace him with another skink and maybe a unit of skirmish skinks?
This would leave you with enough pts for giving your SV a great weapon or something like that

skink chiefs are good with light armour shield and a sword of battle 79 points

If you are going to keep the priest and run it with the skinks, you should get a champion in the unit to accept challenges.
If you are getting rid of the priest, I would recommend a unit of chameleon skinks.
